  • I do think these tools can shine when students are trying to brainstorm ideas. With proper prompt engineering, a writer can ask an LLM to generate possible conclusions or thesis statements. Then, that writer (alone or in collaboration with a Writing Consultant) can review and consider these options. While copying and pasting them as written would be plagiarism, a writer can use these LLM-generated examples to springboard their own thoughts. I have invited the writing consultants to use LLMs in the above ways, but I have not yet incorporated this use with my students.
  • ChatGPT helps to search information and summarize data so efficiently.
  • Come up with class outlines, mock test questions
  • Exploring what AI tool can do for my teaching. What’s the solution for the assignment based on ChatGPT, what’s the solution based on the textbook, which one is reliable? How to design my course incorporating AI tools in the future
  • I provided examples of how AI is used by me in my courses. The quality of the output coming from the AI technology has been high and it
saves me and students time when properly used.
  • I suggest free tools that provide wording, tone, and punctuation suggestions, but do not write/craft/ compose for the student. I do warn students about the short-comings of Chat-GPT and also provide the MLA handout for ethical use and citation of AI platforms.
  • I used it as a way to highlight the unwavering need for the human hand in all cultural endeavors. It was also a means for illustrating how AI borrows from our input.
  • It is easy to use and saves me time.
  • Paramedic Instructors can use as "real life" patient cases. Based upon the scenarios progression the students have to identify a medical condition and properly treat that condition. It includes medical history, medications, allergies, symptoms, and the scenario with autogenerate vital signs and actual heart rhythms to show the student to guide their learning.
  • The main reason is to create an initial framework for course structure, assignment, and alignment of course learning outcomes with assignment and project objectives, and also that of the program. This certainly reduces the time, although all cited sources are checked and data confirmed.
  • build quizzes, lesson plans, assignments with Youtube videos, grading rubrics, text summarizer, There is so much that it does and is helpful for use in both my face to face and online classes. I make reading handouts to help summarize material. Helps with background information etc. I am getting quite good at utilizing this tool in all my classes. I do use Chatgtp for idea generating, like for discussion questions or project outlines.
  • I have encouraged students to use AI to assist in executing complex case studies. We have built assignments that have the AI technology assume the personas of different characters such as physicians, industry leaders, consumers that the students can virtually interview. It is also useful, as a faculty member, when it comes to assessing student artifacts and providing constructive feedback; designing assignments; and helping students critique their drafts.
  • I am considering integrating ChatGPT into brainstorming discussions, but I am concerned about students using this tool responsibly.
  • I have used it to help create assignments.
  • I use Paramedic Scenarios. It is an AI driven webpage that based upon user input will create simulated patient scenarios.
  • MagicSchool.ai. This offers so much help. It can build quizzes, lesson plans, assignments with Youtube videos, grading rubrics, text summarizer, There is so much that it does and is helpful for use in both my face to face and online classes.
  • This semester I used ChatGPT to create a mock civilization to critique. Students were tasked with using the tool to create a civilization as well. Outside of that particular assignment, students are allowed to use AI for brainstorming and outlining essay assignments.
  • Use ChatGPT for course learning outcomes/course descriptions starting point.
