This gallery is designed to support faculty in navigating the generative AI landscape in higher education, from what generative AI is and how you can learn more about it to what using it could look like within and across disciplines.

When considering the many new and ever-changing AI tools, their ubiquitous and exponential nature can make it difficult to know where to start and how they might be best used in the classroom. This toolkit provides resources for you to explore generative artificial intelligence and how to get started with applying AI in your teaching.

As the sudden rise of generative AI sends shock waves through society, no sector is feeling the disruption as abruptly and pervasively as education.Rather than try to ban this technology from classrooms outright, the Learning With AI project asks if this moment offers an opportunity to introduce students to the ethical and economic questions wreaked by these new tools, as well as to experiment with progressive forms of pedagogy that can exploit them.

We’re including this guide to “Writing with AI” in Write What Matters because it’s clear that generative AI tools, including platforms such as ChatGPT, are beginning to transform what writing instruction looks like in higher education. Regardless of how you are currently using or not using AI in your classroom, all of us are feeling the impact.
