Psychology 1300

This serves as a guide to the services and resources provided by the BC Library. Also included are the library based learning modules and assignments for this course.

Why use Library Resources?

Though the BC Library exists mainly to service the information needs of our community, most of our efforts go to helping students with their research. Many students find that their instructors require sources found outside of a Google search. The reason for this is simple- college assignments require you use supporting documentation coming from credible sources- and sometimes these credible sources must also be Academic/ Scholarly/ Peer Reviewed.

Student Introduction to BC Library

In a nutshell, the BC Library helps our students with their information needs.

  • Need information on a topic for a research paper?
  • Need to know how to cite a website using MLA?
  • Need directions to an event on the BC campus?
  • Need to verify the credibility of a tweet you read?

All these fall under a need for information and the library is here to help.
