BC Library Instructional Services: Live Instruction

What is "Live Instruction"?

Live instruction: a librarian instructs students in a live session via Zoom or in library lab F-107 (we can also come to your computer lab on campus should you have a large class enrollment).  Live sessions work best for courses labeled as Face to Face, Scheduled Live Online or Blended/Hybrid. F2F usually incorporates lab time.

How does "Live Library Instruction" work?

First off the instructor needs to complete a Library Instruction request form (see below) or contact Brent Cooper.  Once the content of the instruction is determined (see options on the Home tab), a librarian will deliver the instruction via Zoom. The librarian can create the Zoom meeting and the instructor posts the Zoom meeting link on D2L/ Virtual Campus OR the instructor can create the link via Zoom in D2L/ Virtual Campus in which the students will have direct access to the link. The instructor will need to share the Zoom meeting link with the Librarian or ask Distance Learning to add the Librarian to the course (enabling the Librarian to access the Zoom meeting via D2L/ Virtual Campus).
